Day 9431: A New Sense of Home and Productivity

Today, I traveled back "home." It was intriguing to realize that what I mean by home has changed. I took a flight from the city where my parents live, which was just home to me until a few years ago, to the city where the place I call home is now. I guess I have really grown up.

I used the time on the flight to finish reading Austin Kleon's Show Your Work, which I had been planning to read for a long time. I had spent most of my day procrastinating until I sat on the flight. However, finishing the book brought a sense of productivity to my day. It gave me the motivation to do more in the few hours that were left.

I listed down a series of tasks I wanted to complete. These tasks ranged from taking a minute to an hour. I'm glad to say that I was able to finish 5 out of the 11 tasks. Success 🥳

I did have more time to do things, but I decided that going for a walk with my flatmate, who is also my best friend, was a good way to spend the rest of the time. It was fun feeling nature, enjoying the strong winds, and gossiping about everything possible.

Have you ever felt like you have wasted a whole day away? What small things do you like to do to have a sense of achievement on such days?
